It is a deep fired preparation used as a time snack. Bajji can be prepared using potatoes, brinjal, green banana and some of the green leafy vegetables like spinach.
|Bengal gram flour||200g|
|Chilli powder||2 tsps|
|Baking Soda||a pinch|
Add soda, salt and chilli powder to Bengal gram flour. Add water and make a batter. Clean and wash palak and spread them on plate. Heat oil in a deep pan, dip each leaf in batter and when oil is hot, add slices separately and fry till golden brown in colour.
